I know you may hate this but I really wish they would change the date of Thanksgiving so we could REALLY concentrate on it and NOT be worried about getting ready for Christmas. To me the Christmas season is too short! But I also know Thanksgiving isn't going to change:):) XO, Pinky

I totally agree! It was a wonderful show! The performers did a fabulous job drawing you in and making you feel a part of the show! I highly recommend anyone who needs to be "Charged Up" go see Dance Explosion you will be singing for days.

Greetings folks from Lebanon county's Amish community the next county up from Lancaster. The weather here in the Lancaster area has been dry and hot like most of you are feeling now. I moved-up from Florida late last year to south Lebanon county, and im orig from the northeast. Im very glad to be back at what id like to call home, and i write a lot about Lancaster and Lebanon countys Amish and old order Mennonite settlements on my blog Amish Stories. Ive just posted last Friday a true story from a woman living in upstate New York who joined the old order Mennonite church as a young woman. And im very proud to have a post every Tuesday from Jean a old order Mennonite woman from New York state as well. Both as you know dont have computers, so i get those fresh stories from a friend of both, and she has a computer. I didnt mean to sound like im promoting here, im just proud of this little blog coming from someone whos not a writer. So i welcome everyone to give Amish Stories a look, and i will also be posting the Terre hill days event from last week on next weeks post (July 29). Thanks folks and try and keep cool out there. My blog "Amish stories" is having a "Witness farm tour contest". What i'm looking for is readers to write their own sequel to the movie "Witness". I'm not looking for the entire movie script, just about 300 words or less so it would be a concept for another movie. The winner will win 2 tickets to tour the actual farm where the movie was filmed, plus the winner will tour Lancaster county and will see most of the locations that was used in the movie . The farm where the movie "Witness" was filmed is now owned by an Amish Family, so the family is giving permission for maybe the last time for this tour. The winner will also receive a small gift which will be provided in the tour. 1st prize winners will also receive 2 tickets for Jacob's Choice. There will also be a 2nd prize for 2 tickets for the Amish Homestead. This contest starts today(Monday) with a deadline set for saturday.
